It begins here…and now.

Hello, world!

This is my very first post on this shiny new blog space!  I’m a little nervous but not sure why as I have been blogging for 9 years over at barknknit.blogspot.com.  If you’ve following me here from there, thank you!  If you found me new, welcome!

Why the change you ask? Well, barknknit blog started, all those years ago, as a place for me to journal about my knitting, life, and my pups.  My puppies were my children and so it made sense to create a space about knitting and dogs.  In the past nine years, my life has changed in so many ways as well as my passions.  I’m continuously growing up and learning new things about being a mother, wife, and a person.  I enjoy sharing the growth and changes but felt that I needed a new space to do so.

As of right now, I’m planning to continue to share about my knitting, spinning yarn, family life, motherhood, and parenting, as well as the debt free journey we are on, budgeting, and my newly discovered obsession with bullet journaling and hand lettering.

I’m looking forward to going on this journey with you and hope you come along for the ride.

Happy Blogging!

If you have a minute, please leave a comment to say hi and let me know how you found this new space.  Look forward to growing this blog into a community of people expanding their knowledge and skill set and growing up but not rushing it.

  1. I came over thanks to your mention of it on Mastering the Knits podcast. I too am on a debt free journey and look forward to reading about yours!

      1. I would say that one of my biggest victories is “Just Say No” to impulse instagram purchases. I have been shopping in my stash and have plenty to choose from. I am using Dave Ramsey’s Debt Snowball plan and have paid off 2 medical bills aleady… I feel like I’m, well, on a roll 🙂 My other big victory is just facing the amount of debt I have. I have always been afraid and unwilling to take a look at the numbers, but now I can look at it (mostly) non judgementally in order to go from here.
